This course combines three certifications in one day to create a comprehensive course for anyone entering the workforce as a paramedic, firefighter, health care professional or lifeguard. The three-course contents are:
Basic Life Support (BLS)
This course is designed to build participant confidence in performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) skills and provide the important steps to perform a rapid assessment, perform Basic Life Support (BLS) skills, and perform rapid defibrillation (AED). After successful completion of this portion, you will obtain a 1-year certification.
Airway Management
This portion will provide the participants with the knowledge and practical skills to create and maintain a patient’s airway, as well as teaching the equipment available and how to use it to perform the appropriate interventions based on the patient’s condition. After successful completion of this portion, you will obtain a 3-year certification.
Oxygen Therapy
This portion will provide the participants with the knowledge and practical skills to correctly identify when it is necessary to administer supplemental oxygen and how to correctly deliver supplemental oxygen through the appropriate delivery device. Participants will learn how to properly and safely handle and assemble the equipment. After successful completion of this portion, you will obtain a 3-year certification.
